Abstract

Futsal is a fast-paced sport that requires players to possess strong technical abilities, particularly in passing, due to limited playing space and rapid game transitions. The effectiveness of training methods is therefore crucial in improving players’ performance and technical mastery. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of various basic futsal technique training methods in enhancing players’ skills. This research employed a literature review method by analyzing a number of relevant scientific articles related to futsal training methods. The selected articles were obtained from academic databases and limited to recent publications to ensure the relevance, validity, and accuracy of the findings. The analysis was conducted using a descriptive qualitative approach by comparing and synthesizing the results of the selected studies. The results indicate that various training methods, including drill-based training, game-based learning, pass-and-move exercises, and small-sided games, have a significant impact on improving basic futsal technical skills. Drill-based training enhances accuracy and consistency through repetitive practice, while game-based learning increases player engagement and improves understanding of game situations. Pass-and-move training contributes to better coordination and teamwork, and small-sided games improve decision-making and tactical awareness. In conclusion, the implementation of varied and structured training methods is essential for optimizing futsal technical performance. Coaches are encouraged to combine different training approaches tailored to players’ characteristics and needs to achieve optimal training outcomes.
