Abstract

Futsal is one of the most popular sports among adolescents and is widely implemented through school extracurricular programs. Mastery of fundamental futsal skills, such as dribbling, passing, shooting, and controlling, is essential for improving individual performance and supporting effective team play. However, differences in students’ participation, training intensity, and physical activity habits may influence the development of these technical abilities. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the level of basic futsal skills among participants in the futsal extracurricular program at SMP Negeri 1 Bungku. This study employed a quantitative descriptive research design. The participants consisted of 21 students who were actively involved in the futsal extracurricular program and were selected using a total sampling technique. Data were collected through tests and measurements using the FIK Jogja Basic Futsal Skill Test developed by Marhaendro, Saryono, and Yudanto, which assesses dribbling, passing, shooting, and controlling skills. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including mean scores, percentages, and frequency distributions. The results showed that the mean score of participants’ basic futsal skills was 33.04 seconds, which falls within the moderate category. The frequency distribution revealed that 4.76% of participants were classified as very good, 33.33% as good, 28.57% as moderate, 28.57% as poor, and 4.76% as very poor. These findings indicate that the overall level of basic futsal skills among extracurricular participants at SMP Negeri 1 Bungku is moderate and remains uneven across students. In conclusion, structured, systematic, and continuous training programs are needed to improve students’ basic futsal skills. The findings can serve as valuable evaluation material for physical education teachers and extracurricular coaches in designing more effective coaching programs.
