Abstrak

Football is a globally popular sport that requires mastery of fundamental technical skills, particularly passing accuracy, which plays a crucial role in maintaining ball possession and building effective attacks. However, many players still experience limitations in passing precision due to training methods that lack game-based context. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the effect of the Small-Sided Games (SSG) method on improving passing accuracy among PORAS SONI FC soccer players. This study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method, using a One-Group Pretest–Posttest design. The sample consisted of 24 players selected through purposive sampling. The instrument used was a low ball passing accuracy test administered before and after the intervention. Data analysis included normality testing, homogeneity testing, and hypothesis testing using a paired sample t-test. The results showed a significant improvement in passing accuracy, with the mean score increasing from 3.54 (pre-test) to 7.54 (post-test). The hypothesis test indicated that the calculated t-value (23.495) was greater than the t-table value (1.714), with a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. This confirms that the Small-Sided Games method has a statistically significant effect on improving passing accuracy. In conclusion, the SSG method is proven to be an effective and practical training approach for enhancing passing accuracy in football players. Its implementation is recommended for coaches to improve technical performance in a game-based and contextual manner.
