Participation in school-based sports activities, particularly futsal, plays an important role in enhancing students’ physical, social, and psychological development. However, the level of participation among female students is often influenced by various internal and external factors. This study aims to examine the relationship between motivation and environmental support on girls’ participation in futsal extracurricular activities at State Vocational School 1 Adiwerna. A quantitative approach with a correlational design was employed. The sample consisted of 41 female students selected using a total sampling technique. Data were collected through structured questionnaires measuring motivation, environmental support, and participation. The instruments were tested for validity using product-moment correlation and reliability using Cronbach’s Alpha. Data analysis included descriptive statistics and inferential analysis using Pearson correlation with the assistance of SPSS software. The results showed that motivation (44%), environmental support (51%), and participation (63%) were predominantly in the moderate category. These findings indicate that students’ involvement in futsal activities is relatively adequate but not yet optimal. Furthermore, the results confirm that both motivation and environmental support are significantly related to participation, highlighting their important role as determinants of sports engagement. In conclusion, improving both motivational factors and environmental support is essential to enhance female students’ participation in futsal activities. The findings suggest that schools and coaches should implement strategies to strengthen internal motivation and provide a more supportive environment. Future research is recommended to involve larger and more diverse samples and incorporate additional variables such as facilities and coaching quality.
