This study aims to analyze the transformation of sports facilities and infrastructure management based on the Green School concept at educational institutions in Makassar City. Methods: This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with 12 informants, including school principals, physical education teachers, and school facility managers, as well as non-participant observations and documentation studies at 6 selected schools (3 public schools and 3 private schools). Data analysis was performed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. Results: The results showed that the transformation of sports facility management based on Green School principles covers four main dimensions: (1) use of eco-friendly materials in facility construction with a 68% adoption rate; (2) energy efficiency through solar panels and LED lighting on sports fields with an average energy savings of 34.7%; (3) water management through rainwater harvesting for field irrigation; and (4) integration of sports facilities with green open spaces. Schools that have comprehensively implemented the Green School concept showed a significant increase in students’ sports participation rate of 27.3%. Implications: The Green School-based transformation of sports facility management requires synergy between school policies, government support, and community participation.
